This stress manifest itself in the form of headaches, backaches, and tension of muscles. If the factors causing the stress is too prolonged, the individual can be emotionally affected leading to frustration, sadness, anger, depression, fear and so forth. If the stress or the factor causing the stress is not removed, the individual's body is said to be not in equilibrium, hence out of balance.
It is to be noted that some stress sometime serve to some people as motivating. For example, the fear of failure can create an adaptive drive to success.
The coping mechanism of individuals helps everyone to deal with stress (general adaptive syndrome) however, overcoming anxiety and the art of relaxing along with positively identifying the source of ones stress proves exceedingly helpful.
